Description:

The Ivy Lee Method outlines a structured approach to productivity through the identification and prioritization of daily tasks. The method consists of six key steps:

<ol>
 <li>Identify the six most crucial tasks to accomplish the following day.</li>
 <li>Assign numerical values to each task to signify their order of importance.</li>
 <li>Begin the next day by focusing solely on the first task until it is either completed or sufficient progress has been made.</li>
 <li>Once the first task is addressed, move on to the subsequent tasks in the order established.</li>
 <li>Repeat this process daily to foster a consistent, productive habit.</li>
</ol>

This method is underpinned by two fundamental principles:

<ul>
 <li>Only one task should be tackled at a time.</li>
 <li>The most significant tasks should always be prioritized.</li>
</ul>

Additionally, tasks can be categorized into four distinct groups for better management:

<ol>
 <li>Urgent and important</li>
 <li>Not urgent but important</li>
 <li>Urgent but not important</li>
 <li>Not urgent and not important</li>
</ol>
