Six Priority Tasks 1.3.2

The Ivy Lee Method outlines a structured approach to productivity through the identification and prioritization of daily tasks. The method consists of six key steps:

1. Identify the six most crucial tasks to accomplish the following day.
2. Assign numerical values to each task to signify their order of importance.
3. Begin the next day by focusing solely on the first task until it is either completed or sufficient progress has been made.
4. Once the first task is addressed, move on to the subsequent tasks in the order established.
5. Repeat this process daily to foster a consistent, productive habit.

This method is underpinned by two fundamental principles:

• Only one task should be tackled at a time.
• The most significant tasks should always be prioritized.

Additionally, tasks can be categorized into four distinct groups for better management:

1. Urgent and important
2. Not urgent but important
3. Urgent but not important
4. Not urgent and not important
